INDICATIONS

Libramed's mechanism of action make it suitable for:

Adults

• who are overweight or obese
• with a large waist circumference, even if weight is normal

Children from 8 years of age

• who are overweight or obese

The product achieves maximum effectiveness when combined with a balanced diet, sufficient fluid intake and regular physical exercise.

Libramed controls spikes in glycaemia levels after meals, ensuring constant blood glucose and insulin levels, thereby reducing lipogenesis (accumulation of fat in lipocytes) and the feeling of hunger.

Libramed's action is due to Policaptil Gel Retard®, a patented complex of polysaccharide macro-molecules containing components working synergistically to create a strong gelifying action. Policaptil forms a gel in the bowel reducing the quantity and rate at which carbohydrates are absorbed (retard effect).

Thanks to the properties of this gel, Libramed also limits the absorption of lipids, reducing postprandial sleepiness, while aiding bowel transit and regulating the consistency of stools.

ADMINISTRATION

The dose should be taken with a large glass of water, swallowing one tablet at a time. Do not chew or bite the tablets.

For those who have difficulty swallowing, the Libramed tablets can be stirred into warm water or unsweetened herbal tea until completely dissolved. This drink should be taken within a few minutes, before formation of the gel.

WARNINGS

For those who have difficulty swallowing, tablets should be dissolved before administration, as described in the instructions. It is recommended to take the product at least two hours from taking medicines or vitamin supplements, in order not to interfere with their absorption.

Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Individuals receiving pharmacological treatment for diabetes or hyperlipidaemia should consult their medical practitioner to assess whether or not the dosage should be altered.

Do not use if there is hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components.
